Guys,
My mechanic just told me that there's something wrong with the front tires. So I checked them and found that there are more cracks on the outside of the tire surface than on the inside location. Please refer to the picture attached. Do I need to worry about it? Thanks! By the way, how long can the original tires last? Mine was originally bought in the summer of 2010.

I've rode around on worse LOL..... all joking a side I have definitely used worse but it will definitely increase your chances of a blow out I would put replacement high on my list. As for how long they should last is hard to answer there is a lot a variables like temps in your area other weather conditions plus miles driven and type of usage.

I have a set of wheels and tires off my xB I will be selling. I'll be in AA Friday just for a few minutes to pick up magnetic signs for my new van. 22k on the tires. I can post a FS ad to make it official, or pm me for a phone #.
I'll be around Jackson & Wagner road between 10am and noon. Stock tires, aftermarket wheels. Thinking $300 |

From your photo I would say you are a fairly aggresive driver and the wear is from hard cornering. The only other thing that could cause that, IMHO, is an alignment problem. I just purchased a set of Hankook 727 for "Boxanne" and I am pretty pleased with them. I originally intended on going with Michelins but after doing some research settled on the Hankooks. I was especially looking for a reduction in road noise and they helped but I still wonder if the Michelins would have been better. Lots of good tires out there and maybe you can find some good recommendations on this forum.

I'm wondering how often you rotate these tires? If the're not changed around per schedule, they will wear quickly (more in the front than in the rear).
