Forgot to update. My rattle is gone. Wasn't the nuts. Intake was rubbing.

I've got weird creaking and popping sounds help please lol! It's driving me mad! I'm ordering some new struts from fast scions next week. Then I am gonna try to get to the bottom of these freaking weird noises.

Ok update this morning I decided to check everything again. My strut tower bar which isn't the greatest lol was causing the popping creaking noise. So I guess I am going to order a better quality one. It was making the noise where the bar bolts the the bracket which bolts down to the tower. I also found that the rotor has some slop in it so when I brake or take off it slightly moves only like 1/8 " but enough to drive me mad. Struts solid but still one little loose type feeling when I hit bumps from the driver side. But most of the sounds and feelings are gone.

Is your strut brace one solid bar like the TRD or does it have bolts that hinge like the one on eBay? I'm just wondering if that pivot point is a source of noise.

Oh yes indeed stupid eBay bar lol! A guy gave it to me when I bought my grill and some engine parts off him it looks nice but its not going back on. One thing I did notice when I took off all the cowling. There is a huge plate that spans from tower to tower and bolts all over the freaking place, seems to me that that would add a lot of rigidity. I removed it to check the strut top bolt and that's a pretty solid feeling piece of metal so I think I'll just rely on it for the brace lol. I like the way my xb feel now much better its a softer ride it seems like. I may get a Trd style one later if I ever get after market sways. For now my main focus is fast scions turbo kit in 5'000 miles that's when my factory warranty is up! Yee haw it's time to get this toaster burning some rubber.
