So call me silly... but since I drove a pickup for the last 14 years, I'm used to feeling the bass just as much as hearing it. While the JL stealthbox is decent and hits plenty hard, I can't help but feel a disconnect. I miss that in your chest hit from leaning directly against the box.
I was thinking of a small 8" under the drivers seat to augment that. I saw a few of others versions under the passenger seat, but my girl would hate it. I need it under the driver. I was almost thinking one of those cheap slimline powered units you can buy at frys. But if I can find or build a nice little box for an 8" I might consider it. Opinions requested. Thanks! |

there are a few powerd subs that are "slim". the bigest thing is the floor heat that would be hiting the sub. or if you lifted the sub off the floor the heat would be right under sub. wther way i see this as heating the sub up and maybe over heating?
i buy from here every now and then. www.onlinecarstereo.com |

When I built my sub enclosure for under the passenger seat, I also built in a duct to channel the floor heat under the sub. You can see what I did in my website (link in my signature below).
Under the driver's seat is a yaw sensor that is bolted to the floor crossmember, you would have to build around or relocate this sensor. Something like this may work for you: In the end, let your own ears, tastes, and budget be the final deciding factor.
