Default Control arm

has anyone had to replace their control arms yet?
when i first purchased my xB the dealer i bought it from replaced the front passenger side, and well.. its gone again so I'm thinking that they tightened the bolts when the vehicle was still in the air

priced out new control arms as i have always replaced the whole arm when i have done changes, but then i found bushings alone for a lot cheaper

how much would it matter if i just replaced the bushings rather than the whole arm?
or do you guys not recommend it?
