Default IQ steering wheel

just bought a 12 XB yesterday, while waiting for the paperwork I roamed, looked at the IQ.. Must admit, cool little car. Anyway the steering wheel in the IQ is leather wrapped almost a suede type, shaped like the ones in the TC's.. Anyway, I want that steering wheel in my XB to replace the plain jane plastic / rubber wheel type.. Anybody know if this is possible, and if so how do I do it, part numbers and such..

My initial thought is it should be a pretty straight forward swap but hard to say with a completely new car such as the iQ.

It will bolt on, no prob. The issue is whether the electronics match up properly for a functioning air bag.

Very possible. Air bags are usually not a huge thing. Just needs a signal to activate. All they really have is a positive and negative. I could be wrong, though. Looking at pictures of both tC and xB air bags, looks like they use the same exact plugs.
Air bag itself is SPENDY, though. I was looking into scooping up a 2011 tC wheel... wheel itself is pretty cheap if purchased through an auto recycler. Air bag is $500+.

The airbag pigtails are all the same except they're length in wires and that's only in the passenger side which does not affect these. That said, they should not be an issue but please, if you do not know how to remove the pigtail ask me and I can tell you how to properly do it with minimal damage to the primary and secondary locks on the pigtail.
