Thanks BrickPig, your advice never seems to steer me wrong. I will look into what you said, besides a good sounding system that is less obtrusive that a box taking up space makes way better sence! Thanks again Amigo!

Hi Madtat, well first of all, all speaker have a + and - wire and you want to make sure you wire all your speakers so they "hit" at the same time, else the bass will sound hollow. Probably the black wire is - and the copper wire is + but best to see if the wires or the speaker terminals are marked somehow. For the OEM left front speaker, +/- is pink/purple, and for the OEM right front speaker, +/- is green/blue. For best results, wire the speaker box + to the OEM +, etc.

Most subs are designed for high power (like 100 watts) and will not sound their best if underpowered. You can try wiring up your nephew's box but I think in the long run you'd be better off instead replacing all four of your door speakers with quality aftermarket separates (component speakers). I recommend Rockford Fosgate Prime series 6.5" components, and mount the rear tweaters up high in the rear doors. After doing this, you may find you don't need a subwoofer.
