Default New to the xB gang, former tC owner.

Hello everyone I'm new to the group, I picked up an 08 xb manual transmission with 150k miles in SoCal, it was a one owner vehicle and it was very well maintained. I know these things will run for days if cared for properly. This one certainly was well cared for, so no complaints. I love my little xbox, as my sister in law referred to it. Coming from two previous tCs I was very interested in these based on familiarity with the brand and reliability.

I'm not going to do anything major, other than drop some 2011 oem tC wheels which I picked up for $400, but I'm torn with tire size options for the wheels themselves. So I could use some input to help sway my decision one way or another.

If anyone has recommendations on caring for a high mileage xbox such as mine outside of the usual stuff, let me know...things to look for, anticipate etc...

Open to discussion for all, and thanks for your time.

I picked up a nice silver one. Had the tails and back up light tinted already and a decent drop too when I purchased it.

Thanks, that's why I joined. Looking forward to working on the xbox, and meeting members.

Cheers.

This was one of the first pics I took on the drive home after I bought it.

215/40R18 will keep you as close to stock diameter as possible but you can also run a 225/40R18 as it is only slightly taller. I've run both and it's been fine.

Awesome Greg, thanks for the response. I might have to go with the 225's I seem to find better pricing on those than the 215's.... Hopefully I can get it done this week. I'll post pictures once it's done.

Cheers!

The mod's I've done are more for improvements to existing features. I installed LED's, a variable wiper switch, additional back up lights, HID's headlights. The floor mats were replaced with all weather ones and mud guards. Don't forget to check the radio eq setting for xB instead of Tc. The rest of the items are more for appearance than anything else.

HTM 5spd, vent shades, mud guards, LED b/u lites, steelies w/ chrome lug nuts & chromed dust caps, beauty rings, TRD black grille, Oznium vert.vent lites, HID's, black vinyl head light eye lids, sun shade, side glass tint, variable delay wiper switch, all weather front mats, rear spoiler, front running lights LEDs w/ dual color, electronic flasher, LED turn-stop-tail rear lights, LED glove box light, footwell lights, cup holder lights, amber fog lights,Bazooka sub, front black matt bumper cover.

Welcome to nsxb.
Lots of easy n cheap things to do. Fwiw, xb is much more comfortable to drive than the tcs. I bought my daughter a tcrs3 that she loves. But love my box better.
