Default start car, warm air blows for a few minutes

Frequently, when I start the car from a cold state (sit for a few hours), the AC will blow warm air anywhere from 2-5 minutes. Once the AC blows cold, all is fine. If I let the car sit a few hours, even on a hot day, and start up my xB, the same issue may occur again. I had the dealer check the system, they could find no issues. I thought maybe the hot/cold air duct control may be the problem but I moved the hot/cold control back and forth several times with no improvement. Its almost like the compressor is not not always engaging right away from a cold start. Again, once it blows cold, the issue will never return until the next cold start.

Please help, thank you.

Not to start a new thread... I noticed my 2015 XB does the same thing. It didn't do it when I first got it. Took it to the dealer and they found nothing. Looking for ideas...

It ended up being the compressor that was working intermittently. Had the dealer change it out under warranty and everything is good to go now.

A clogged AC condenser can cause this problem also.
