I plugged my new iPhone 3G into the iPod connector, and the iPhone 3G gave me a dialog saying this device is not compatible for charging with the accessory. I can listen to music and streaming radio, but now we can't charge our device. Anybody experience the same?

If you take off your shoes and rub your socks on the carpet of your car and touch the dash it should work.

The amount of EMF the iPhone puts out, it should freakin charge itself...I worry about my future children.

yeah my new ipod does the same to and depending on how you hook it up with the two different cables provided by scion you may or may not be able to change the songs with the dash controls...lame!. Welcome to the site btw.

Geesh..... sounds like the new 3G is not very scion friendly, you should start a class action lawsuit for discrimination. Whats up with that ? My 60 gig plays nice w/ the scion xb.

*sigh* i work for ATT and this brings much shame to me.... it makes me sad to see two beautiful pieces of equipment that if they could co-exist with one another together, they could create the perfect unit of function, with entertainment, again i weep cause this may never happen again.... for those who have the "original" iphone please hold off for 3g as long as you possibly can! i think having a little bit faster data and non turn-by-turn navigation is not worth the sacrifice.

I don't use the "iPod" cable because it's a pain in the butt. I have a rapid charge cable that connects to the former cig lighter and I use the aux cable right into the aux jack. Works for my iPhone 3G as well as my iPod

the only prob i got with the schosche plus the ipod connection cable is that
it is to bulky its always falling down no where to put it
even with the coin / ipod holder
i must come up with a mod

Just put your iphone upside down in the cup holder, that always works fine for me.. I just wish you could skip through artists alphabetically with the stock radio.. it sucks scrolling for 10 minutes to find what u want
