Hey guys,

New to the forum just purchased my 2009 XB this Monday accidentally when I went to the dealer to drive 2 used low mile 2006's.
Black Sand automatic and I love it. What a difference between the old style and the new style. Much, much more quiet inside, much more power and beautifully detailed inside and out. There was no way I could walk away from the new XB and buy a used one, even though the 2006 only had 36000 miles.

Anyway, since this was a surprise to my wife.... I can just swing some wheels only at this time. So, my question is; (and I have searched) should I use the same stock offset with 16's? I have seen lots of info on 17-20, but not much on 16's. I notice most 16's also have a 40mm offset. Will this be fine? I want the tire sitting just inside the fender, not even, not outside.

Will 16 x 7.5 be fine with the stock tires?

Thoughts? Input?

I'm looking at the American racing Muscle Razor for one choice.

Cheers,

Casey

It should, just keep in mind that the factory rims are 16x6.5. So your looking at a extra 1 inch stretch. Which will make the sidewalls shorter. Handling will be a bit siffer which you will probably like. Just gotta check to see if the factory tires can take that much stretch. I don't think it will be a problem.

Some depends on the tires themselves.
IF the original tires will stretch to 7.5 rims, it will be fine. Scion/Toyota has used several tires from the factory. Some will work and some might not (don't know the brands).
The best thing to do is to checkout a fitment chart on the specific tire you have and see if it will be wide enough for the 7.5 inch rim. They will give a minimum and maximum rim width it can use.

Thanks for the reply guys, my XB came with the Goodyear tires, not the Dunlops.

Am I wasting my time with the 16's anyway? Will they look good on the XB ?

If I was to get 18's, and change the tires, how will my ride suffer:?

I really enjoy the ride now.
