I can never remember my wheels size, but I have 18x7.5 +40 and I don't poke. Not sure about speedo errors though. With +21 you shouldnt poke either, but you'll be close to flush. On stock suspension it shouldnt be a problem.

Trolls the tire guy (for a living), but a 215/ 40? on a 9.5 wide wheel? um, not sure how easy that be to even get the beads to seat...

how about 205/35 on a 9.5?

205s on the front, 215s on the rear. I need to go 205s all around to get the rubbing to stop though.
