So here it is.... Ive got a 2009 XB (Bone Stock NO MODS) and just hit 60,000 miles.

Car has a few issues that I would like to resolve, and the first issues I think may all be affected by each other.

1. Car idles around 500 rpms when at a traffic light and in gear, causes the whole front end to vibrate and the hood to vibrate from being at such a low idle. (Been reading about cleaning the idle control valve area in the opening of the throttle body as well as the MAF sensor to see if this helps at all)

2. When at a traffic light, the fan comes on for about 20 secs and then back off, and then turns back on.... and it does this over and over again.... very annoying

3. Living in Fresno CA, the summers are brutal HOT !! The AC does not work when at an idle and stopped. When driving it blows freezing cold air, but when I stop at a traffic light it will start to blow warm air within about 30 to 45 secs. (Basically what ive found is that the compressor kicks off because the pressure reaches a high pressure, and the system is protecting itself and shutting off just as it should) BUT WHY IS IT OVER PRESSURIZING WHEN STOPPED AND FINE WHEN DRIVING ???

So my question is..... is the low idle maybe causing all of these issues ???

I would love to buy a Haynes manual and trouble shoot all of this stuff, BUT THEY DONT EXIST !!!

So any feedback and help is a great help, and I thank anyone who responds in advance....

Yes it's an automatic and yes, if I put it in neutral the idle comes up.

I keep my climate control on defrost/floor and normally always on 1 fan setting.

I have also noticed that even when on vent mode with temp on cold, AC off, I get heat through the vents. So something is going on wrong there too. I'm not getting cool vented outside air coming through the vents.

As far as the idle, how would I adjust the idle ?? Other then cleaning the throttle body idle circuit area/port and the MAF sensor.

Well I know my original post is quite old but I thought I would give some feedback since I just figured out my entire issue.

So the problem ended up being the drivers fan wiring was reversed, causing the one fan to push instead of pull.

Can you believe it was something that easy and that retarded. Lol

The clip below the battery for the fan looked to of been messed with and it was barely seated and pushed on in the wrong direction. The fix was simple, pull the battery to gain easier access. Push the plug on the right direction and make sure it seats and then reinstall the battery. The fan is now pulling air through the radiator.

The fan was taking such a load pushing against the radiator that it was causing an extended pull on the 12 volt system that it was causing a rough idle.

The fan was actually pushing hot air into the radiator causing the ac to go into protected mode when the ac stem pressure rises and shutting off when not driving.

And then fan kicked on and off constantly because at low fan speed it was actually heating up the radiator causing the fan to have to go to high speed every 30 seconds.

PROBLEM SOLVED !!!

Word for everyone here. Don't always look at the most difficult solution and over thing some of these issues. Te problem is more than 75% of the time the easiest an most overlooked solution.

Thanks again for everyone's help over the last couple years.
