2011 base Pioneer HU turn-on wire for amp?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2011 xB with the base Pioneer head unit. This unit has 2 factory subwoofer outputs (mono, the manual says) so I'm toying with the idea of running one of those outputs to an external amp that would power an 8" subwoofer in a sealed box under the front passenger seat. I feel that the centrally located sub will provide a balanced thump to all the passengers.

So here's the question: does anyone know what wire on the head unit I can tap into to provide a +12v turn-on signal for an external amp? Thanks in advance for any input.

I haven't actually pulled the radio yet so I cannot check but assuming this is accurate, it will be helpful. Does the "Power Antenna ORANGE (+)" provide +12v when the head unit is powered up, or only when the Radio is selected?
Since I first posted this, I bought a used working Kenwood monoblock amp from eBay (120 Watts, $21.50 shipped) and installed it this past weekend under the driver's seat. Since I had to pull my shifter console cover anyway in order to run the 6 foot long preamp wires from the amp to the head unit, it was actually easier for me to tap off the cigarette lighter for my amp turn-on power. I accessed the RCA preamp out plugs at the rear of the base Pioneer head unit by first removing the glovebox. That way I did not have to pull the head unit.

For right now I'm using an old 6x9 car speaker in a sealed box. However I just bought my 8" Rockford Fosgate sub from eBay last night. When I get it installed in a sealed enclosure under my front passenger seat, I'll do a webpage write-up.
It's done! I started my Labor Day weekend by finishing my subwoofer install. You can read more details in the latest chapter of my webpage (link in my signature, below).
