Hello everyone,
I'm actually a current owner of a 2007 Toyota Rav4, but I'm in the market for a new car and guess what I've settled on? Oh Scion, what a funny relationship we have had over the years. Story goes that back in 2007 I was graduating and my parents thought they would help me by buying me my very own "new" car. I asked relentlessly for a Scion TC but they refused to buy me a manual claiming I would soon end up in the obituary section of our local newspaper (they were probably right). I then asked for a manual version of the XB but they said they wouldn't buy me that giant metal box on wheels because it was "hideous" in their eyes.
Oh the pain I felt. I was happy that they were even THINKING about buying me a car, but dang it if I was going to have them spend that much money on something I didn't even want to drive. Low and behold they went with the choice that was a safe and reliable bet in their eyes. WELL, college has paid off and now its time to grow up, by buying myself an XB. My brother feels as though that may not be the definition of "growing up" but hey...you only live once and only end up smiling behind the wheel of YOUR car.
Anyways, I hope I will be able to join this community with open arms and like minds to help me on this journey of seemingly endless car payments and discussions on why this is a good purchase to my fiancée. lol Oh growing up, what a hoot. Good thing I'll be able to do it from behind the wheel of a XB.
