hi everybody,

is there any way to install an aftermarket head unit and still keep the steering wheel controls and also the stock ipod jack and aux in jack?

are there specific head units that i need to look for that support these features? are extra parts necessary to accomplish this?

I know most good double din units either have a built in function for your steering wheel controls (eclipses do for sure), or support a add on box that will make them work. Check out the manufactures site on some head units you are interested in and see what they say under features/specs.

the pac swi-ps lets you adapt pioneer, sony, jensen, advent and dual.

the pac swi-jack is for JVC, alpine, clarion and kenwood.

i have a pac swi jack available for $25 shipped if anyone needs one...i bought the wrong one :/

Yes you just have to purchase the device that keeps them going. They shouldn't be that much, but like always if you take it to a place to get it installed, they will charge you up the ***. I got an after market one and I like the remote controll better than steering. That's just me.
