Does it exist? Are there aftermarket springs that don't lower the car, just stiffen the ride?

I ordered the TRD shocks and swaybars, but intentionally avoided the springs so that I wouldn't lose ground clearance. The handling and steering is improved, but it does seem to cry out for less suspension travel. Does that only come with shorter clearance?

No.
He wants PERFORMANCE springs that don't lower. There is a HUGE difference.
The TRD ones are are good for performance (supposed to be among the best), but lower a bit- not too much but lower.

Performance springs tend to lower the car because:
  • they tend to be shorter than the OEM springs (in the relaxed state) to begin with
  • they have a stiffer spring rate and so need to travel less to provide the same force as the original softer OEM springs
  • a lower center of gravity improves the cornering and handling

The difference:
Performance ones primarily stiffen the ride, in the process of making it handle better. That is why they feel like rough/stiff on bad pavement (or gravel).
Lowering ones primarily drop the ride height, while trying to maintain a softer, comfortable "ride."

Many try to achieve both with some compromise of drop, performance, and ride. How well each does that is a latter of debate . . .
