Any complaints or things you wish were better?

Having come from a tC, I can definitely say I wish alloy rims were stock and I wish it had auto up/down for all windows. That's something I think every car should have

The grilles not matching again... or even coming close to each other. Between the 3 different(counting the fake brake ducts) styles on the front is a bummer. I hoped that they would pick one and go with it. Other than that no other issues so far but has only been in my yard a week today.

I have a question about the xB 2008. I noticed that there is only 1 reverse light and it is to the drivers side in the rear. Since it is off center, is there a problem with seeing behind the vehicle at night with only 1 light,? Is it designed to throw light in both directions?
Took a test ride this weekend and was impressed with the vehicle. This might be my next car.

y'know, I haven't actually paid attention to that, but haven't had any problems w/ visibility... I had the same question, as I'm sure most people did when they saw that, and was told that it's very bright... I wonder if it will be as bright or brighter if I replace it w/ super white LEDsscion said:
The armrest is too thin and hard, and I think the silver plastic on the shifter bezel is cheep looking. And coming from having only driven sixes and eights for the past ten years, I think the exhaust sounds kind of wimpy. But I can always change things as they become available! Isn't that what Scions are all about?

First, to answer someones question from above: The reverse light is in fact designed to shine light across the entire back side of the car, and it does a pretty good job imo. If you look at the lense its got a very oblonged elipse in the center of it that handles this.
Now, my biggest cons with this car are; as mentioned the armrest, it feels very wimpy, but I haven't had to use it that much anyhow, the cheap plastic used in the interior - it scratches waaaaaay to easily, and makes me pretty nervous when having friends riding along, the grills as mentioned - why oh why would you not design these to match?, I think thats about all that's complaint worthy really....
So yeah, the car has some cons, but overall I love it and it's been a big upgrade from my 01 focus zts.

I changed my Grill. I am having a custom armrest made Can not wait to see it by the way hopefully this week, and will share pics witheveryone. Like my wipers but My standard LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS are makin me nuts. Driver side is brighter than passenger side. If other way around I could be happy. Out in the country I have to use High beams. LOVE THEM!!! but for most part gonna wait on dealer to order new headlight assembly. They concurred some thing is not right and it is not the bulbs...
For what I wish were better, I'll third the armrest and I'll add the lack of an armrest for the passenger seat. My "complaint" would be with the console. The size wouldn't bother me as much if there was some other use for it (like a cubbie or additional storage compartment--even if it were really small), but as it is, it seems really big for no useful reason. I'd also like to see a telescoping steering wheel or one that's not so close to the pedals--the driving position feels like an italian sports car--well, maybe not that bad!
I just got an email from Scion to take a part in another survey. So, I tried to address all of the issues mentioned in this thread. It will be really unfortunate if they fix all this stuff for the '09 model year, but I'll have to make due w/ what I have...
