I have a scion Xb 08. And sometimes I use the stick mode when on the highway. If for any reason you don't shift right will it ever damage the transmission or car in anyway?
I've gone into redline and actually hit the rev limiter when using the slap stick, mainly cause the trans shifts so slow. Took a little bit to get use to allowing x number of rpms to account for the slow shifts. The ECU will lock you out from down shifting way too early. I think I read it in the manual. Never tried dropping the car into the R for race gear.
My uncle is facing same problem in in his towing truck which he use for towing and roadside service near me, in his company, he is asking to me for a solution and I am finding the solution here.
