I just HAVE to ask . . .
With the name of "Black Sand Pearl" for the metallic black xB hue . . .

WHO has named their xB "Black Pearl" like the ship in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series?

-> There has GOT to be AT LEAST one!
So, who did it?

(If I had gotten the BSP, I would have. Likewise, a Super White would have been "Polar Bear" . . . )

I have pirate everything!! I own TWO copies of each of the pirates of the caribbean movies, and yes I DID name my car the Black Pearl...it was only fitting! I applaude you because many people that I say the name to, don't get why I put that name!

In fact, my hubby just bought me a novality license plate that I haven't put on yet, that says California at the top in white writting, like a true California license plate. And then it has the skull and cross bones with the word pirate next to it in the area where the letters/numbers of a normal license plate go. It is too cool! Once I put it on, I'll try to get some pics up!

I have a tad of interest in historical pirates . . .
(My forum name is a derivative of John "Calico Jack" Rackham of New Providence/Nassau. It was created by the/a curator of the Golden Hind replica ship/museum in England, based on my interest in tartan, things Scottish, and wearing of kilts.)

Note this thread (on a pirate reenactor forum):

The xB reminds me A LOT of a sloop, the most common vessel used by pirates in the GAoP (Golden Age of Piracy).
Oh, and I have a mini-Jolly Roger on:

And one of my magnets:

My wife 's car is a 2008 Toyota Yaris and it is Black Sand Pearl. We do call it the Black Pearl. One of her friends and her obeserve "Talk Like A Pirate Day" and we are fans of the "Pirates Of The Caribean" series. My wife's car is decorated with pirate type stuff. Above the factory emblem I made her a decal that says "The Black Pearl", so that it looks like it says "The Black Pearl Yaris". She has some little skulls and tropical flowers in various spots on the car. She has a Felix the Cat plush toy that wears a pirate hat, that rides in the back. A toy duck that has an actual pirates patch and bandana. It's kinda fun, I like that she enjoys her car.
