DW and I just got back from a 2800+ mile trip across the southwest US. Out in the middle of the empty Texas high plains, the below shown black plastic 'under motor flashing' pulled off on one side and started making a racket. We pulled over and put it back on with a bungee-cord. This didn't work well, so at the next gas station, I bought some duct tape and secured it pretty well for the last 300 miles.

I thought some of you doing mods might like the gritty duct-tape and smashed-bugs look.
Now, I'm wondering if I need a new part (whatever it is called), or should I just pull it off and forget about it. Since this seems to be a 'weak link', I'd like to replace it with something more secure.
