Well... true blue idiocy, I can understand since I've worked at best buy for about 4 years now as a installer, most instore associates are kids fresh out of high school who have not a clue to the real world or what they are talking about... but on the other hand you have people liek me and many of the guys at my store who are extremely knowledgable. Dont discount an installer just because they work at best buy, many mom and pop shops are a thousand times worse than the worst best buy installer. Do your research before taking your car to any install shop. You could go to one best buy shop (like mine) and get the greatest install experience ever, with extremely experience installers then go to one 5 miles away and they cold have some moron from computers who said he could install... it really depends on the store.andie said:
Parrot bluetooth units are compatible with any vehicle, the degree of install difficulty is based on the sound system your vehicle has. In the xB you have nothing to worry about. Should take about a half hour to make all connections. To make life easy there are quick connect harnesses that you can buy already wired for your car that plug straight into the parrot unit.
I personally do not like the parrot units, I've installed tons of them and would never use thhem, mostly because i think it looks tacky to have stuff just mounted on your dash. But to each his own. If money is not the issue check out the pioneer bt stereos or if your looking for the best option go with an indash unit with gps and built in bluetooth, thats what I've got in my xB. Good luck
