Just picked up a Borla dual exhaust on CL - great shape. Hopefully I'll have time to put it on this weekend! :D

Anyone have an estimate of how long it takes to install? I'm going to guess 20+ minutes depending on how hard it is to loosen the bolts on the stock exhaust.

Shouldn't cost more than $70, but I would bring a little extra just in case. Try a muffler shop though instead of a typical auto repair shop.

I did the Tsudo Dual by myself with basic tools, so I guess the dual Borla wouldn't be that hard! Here's the installation pdf, gracieuseté of TRDsparks !

Yeah, I have no problem installing it myself. I hope to change my oil and rotate tires this weekend anyway, so it will already be up on jack stands. The pdf makes it look as simple as I though. Thanks for the link MathXB!

How much you get it for?
I can't believe how pricey they are. Whole exhaust for my crew cab, long bed truck was about $250 new and there's 10 times the metal than in my whole xb. But the aftermarket exhausts for the xb are way more $

I paid $250 and it looks almost like new. It came off of a 2011 so it couldn't have been on the road long. He sold in the xB and was selling some of the aftermarket parts.

The cheapest new one I found was from TRDSparks for about $375 shipped. They were more like $485 +shipping everywhere else.

Was the exhaust for your truck stainless? I'm guessing that's what a lot of the cost is from.

I like the sound. It is just a little louder with some rumble to it. It actually reminds me of the exhaust note on my wife's Mini S - though just a tad louder. I mostly hear it at idle and accelerating from a stop.

All of this is with all 4 windows down. I'm sure it will be barely noticable in the winter with the window up and the heat running.

Overall I'm glad I got it. :)

Yeah, I was behind a Subaru WRX the other day and it sounded aweful - like it was a 2-cycle. Now I know what you mean by weed-whacker! :D

I have the single borla on mine. Ive tried it with a res from a ebay trd knock off it was crazy loud lol! actually very mean sounding though. I am planning on swapping the factory res with a magna flow to get it a tad deeper. With just the borla and factory scuba it sounds great inside expecially if you have a cai, but if you hear it driving off it sounds kinda odd.
