The Chevy Groove looks like Chevy's assault on the xB.
Kinda like an HHR bred with an xB . . .
IF it drives anywhere like an xB, it could be some serious competition. IF it was out this May, I would have looked at it. I did look an the HHR and was unimpressed. I love the looks (even more than the xB), but it didn't drive well at all. I tried to make myself like it, but had difficulty.
To be perfectly honest, the looks and size of the xB2 wasn't spectacular for me. DRIVING it was what impressed the heck out of me. In interior is similar to the HHR and PT Cruiser, but the way it drove was much better and along my taste.
For the sake of Chevy and GM . . .
I REALLY hope they build all three of those things, and of the quality, fitment, and reliability that is much closer to Toyota levels than anything presently made by the Big-3 for the American market. The American car builder CAN and DOES do it. They do it for BMW, Mercedes, Honda, Toyota, and other "foreign" brands. There is NO EXCUSE for GM, Ford, and Chrysler building mediocre crap the way they do.
The xB should be the "leader" of a whole new class and category of vehicles that replace the SUV as the modern station wagon. Call it the "Box Class" of vehicles . . .
I hope there a dozen competitors in the next 5-8 years.
