Everytime I shift into reverse I hear a clicking noise(it is an auto transmission). My xB is still fairly new; only has 1600 miles on it. I have never heard that clicking noise before on any of my other vehicles, so I took it to Toyota today to see what they said. Apparently the noise is associated with the 'brakes'. Still does not make sense to me on how those two things are related, so I figured I would ask you guys to see if you have (or had) this noise with your xB?

i drive a standard, and sometimes when i try to shift into reverse it's super hard, like, the shifter will not go down.

I hear that same click when I shift into reverse. I have 24k miles om my xB. When you shift into reverse the brakes pads will be pushed rearward, so maybe they move just enough to make a small click. I'm not worried since the vehicle has a long warranty on the power train.

Hope this helps.
