Finally got the exhaust done on the Silver Brick...the TRD swaybar redesign really put the brakes on the exhaust project.

I had it done at the local Meineke shop. I am generally skeptical of franchise operations like this, but it was recommended by several friends and I had them do some work on my truck as a test before handing over the xB. I would not call this a performance exhaust. I was interested more in appearance than performance, so it's a conventional one pipe in-two out muffler finished off with the OEM xB exhaust tip. The pipes are spaced a little further apart than I had originally envisioned, but it still works for me. Total cost was $268 at Meineke, plus fifty bucks and change for the extra Scion exhaust tip.

There is plenty of room under the back of the xB for this setup and you could do the same thing with a Flowmaster or something similar. There are also some studs in the sheet metal behind the xB's bumper that worked out perfectly for the rear hanger.

You know, that farther apart apperance really makes it stand out. Cause its not exactly like any other center exhaust out there. Kudos to you. Now if only you could find a rear lip that enhances that exhaust.

Thanks...sound is pretty close to stock, maybe a little deeper tone, but hard to tell. One of my objectives was to keep it quiet.

Update: Both of the factory studs used for the rear hanger eventually tore out of the sheet metal. It's very thin, probably about 22 gauge. I just drilled out the holes from the spare tire well and used stainless steel bolts to re-attach the hangers.
