Hi all. I just bought this awesome xB. I love it. Suits my needs quite well.

Want to see a few pics? ok np

I got some TSW rims but I wasn't sure I wanted to keep them. I printed the return receipt but now I'm thinking I do want to keep them. Amazon is on standby.

What do you guys think??

Now here's a serious question- what tires do I want? Someone on another forum was crystal clear: I need to get 215/45 r18 because of the "good offset" on the wheels. I don't really know enough to say?? They're 18x8. I would like to go to CostCo to get them. Any suggestions welcome.

Future upgrades, in order of importance:
-Tires
-Sound system
-Tint all around (medical exception)
-Roof kit

Thanks guys, glad to be here.

Looks great congrats.
Sorry that I have no info on the wheels tho
I see you said the wheels are 18x8 but whats the offset? tire size depends mostly on offset.

as far as the finish of the wheels, I like what you have there man. Personally I really don't like black on black, from a distance and when your driving it looks like the cars sitting on donuts, you can get the same effect rocking steelies or painted caps.

if I had a black car I'd do with charcoal or bronze, so I like your choice a lot.

congratulations on the sweet xb man. happy modding :)
Thanks Damaged, Thanks Mikey

I think I'm inspired to keep them. I see what you mean about the offset Mikey, I think someone explained it to me that the size recommended would stretch and look good for that reason. The offset is 45 so it's a lot.

I've been recommended 215/45 R18

Is it common to be able to take tires and rims into a shop and have them put it together and balance them? I wouldn't know where to begin mounting them myself.
I would recommend a 225/40r18 for those tired. You don't need stretch with those wheels unless you plan on running spacers. Those wheels won't poke out beyond the wheel wells, as a matter of fact they'll stick in a bit. 18x8 +45mm is a great size IMO. The tire size I recommended is also the closest to the height of the stock tires too so you don't have to worry about any speedo differences.

thanks all, I ended up putting on exactly the size you mentioned

heres a few pics, I'm pretty happy with the "stance" if you will

I'm thinking of trying out mudflaps. The other styling accessories I'm going to add are tints, spoiler, and roof rack.

I actually just got the flaps to put on my other (new) xB. My brother on here (troll) has them on his BSP and it def makes it look better and lower. Which is why I got them for mine. He has his all trd'd out. Springs n wheels. I got em on egay for 50.

yeah I just ordered mine from TRD sparks

I didn't think about it looking lower with flaps but that's definitely true :clown: nice
I got mine from trd sparks too. Comes with a very easy to follow install package.

They do require taking the wheels off though, so if I were you I would get a good jack, as the OEM one suuucks! By the time you finish the last wheel you will be cursing toyota for supplying such a pos.

Haha... I have a hydraulic jack I'll probably use. That stinks you have to take the wheels off for the mud flaps.

This is my first time with a keyed anti-theft lug nut set, do I have to do anything special there? Stupider question: Do the lug nuts need to be set to a certain torque or setting that would prevent me from doing this quickly on my own?
