Hey guys im new to the forum.

Here's my issue. Im trying to pull the badges off my 2008 xb. I got the "xb" one off but no matter what the "scion" one won't come off. Ive used dental floss/WD-40/a heat gun and the thing wont budge. Any suggestions?

I got a 5-in-1 tool, wrapped it with a cloth, hosed the badge with goo gone and a hair dryer, and just started prying. there are holes there, though so if you take it off, those will be exposed.

The rear is held on by the gray sticky gunk , so dental floss slices right through that. What your hitting is one or both of the 2 posts used to position the emblem. One is in the upper part and one to one side. If you look hard, the holes the posts go into can be seen here:

Image pirated from somewhere, but forgot-? so can't credit. I grabbed it for personal reference, but find it VERY helpful to illustrate the door holes on the hatch.

I used fishing line. I went at it from every direction until I hit the posts. Then I was able to gently pry it up the rest of the way.

you'll have 2 holes there once you pop that scion badge off though.

I capped mine w/ silver vinyl I had laying around.

Here's a photo of mine after removing the rear emblem. You can see the two holes !

I just painted mine then put them back on = no holes

More of a re-badge than a de-badge.

Okay cool. Thanks for all your help. I wasnt sure if there was posts or not. Now that i know ill be repainting and putting it back on.
