So while I'm waiting for my decepticon decal, I originally planned to put it on my back window but now I'm thinking about putting it in the space between the rear window and the back seat passenger window. However my concern is that if I put the decal there would that hurt the finish on the paint job and all that jazz? And how hard is it to remove a decal from the body of a car?

Depends on the vinyl and the complexity of the decal. If strong, degrade resistant and few elements, no prob. From there it can range all the way to a complete mess . . .

Glass is safest, as the worst can just be scrapped off w/ a flat blade and elbow grease. If you DO put it on the c-pillar directly (as opposed to on a magnetic base/background), I'd highly recommend putting the big decal on a 5-7 year solid vinyl piece and THEN on the xB.
In the case of a Transformers logo, that works great, b/c the "Classic-line" toys has the logo as a sticker, then a black rub. So, it works very, very well. For a Decepticon one I'd use purple (whether the graphic or the background) or black. The "classic" image was often a purple, silver outlined, face on a black background. (The Autobots were red and silver on white)
