Brah, I figured eh, why not, I did it in a way where it wont be permanent, but will last as long as I want it to, in case I decided I might need it someday, or sell the car in the future.

to me the bugga looks cleaner in the rear view, what you think?

Looks clean in the shot.
How did you cover it "temporarily" . . . ?
Got a shot of that? I am assuming a pop-in plug in body color.

I use my wiper, so it stays on.
Though, I'm thinking looking for a screw on "key" looking thing to make it look like a wind-up toy. At shows, take off the wiper and put that on, then set the wiper to go, and just watch the odd looks . . .
Would be fun on the interstate, on a dry trip, too.

LOL, well I'm 51, but still like to do the young mans thing I guess.
I guess I'm still young at heart>

I used a plastic white piece that sets cleanly inside, and I have a backing piece inside the rear hatch door that holds it in place. I'll get a close up when I get home from work.

If only you had a way to make that fake wind up thing spin while you was driving! lol! brah, imagine the looks you would get!

Well, it would when ya turn on the wiper, but only as much as the wiper does. Actually a very good idea.

The "key" shouldn't be hard to make, but I lack the appropriate tools.
(If anyone CAN and WILL, let me know . . . I WANT ONE!!!)

I was looking for images, of which I found quite a few. But, the keys are WAY too big. I'd like one more like 4 or 5 inches key, which screws onto the wiper stud.

I work where there's a machine shop..... I'm looking into it... we also have a sheet metal shop as well..... and a paint booth..... and a design department.... Let me have a few work days to figure out what CAN be done.

Oops . . .
I've hijacked Hawaiian Punch's thread . . .

So, got any closeup shots on how (in)visible the plug is?
I'd love to know how the Texas dust collects on the rear window.

(Oh, and is anyone from another part of the US thinks the Carolinas and Texas are close . . . it's approx 1000 miles to even get to the Texas border. Indiana is half the distance.)
