Anyone done it? I'm considering doing it (purple obviously) and figured I'd see if there's anything on here about it. I've been finding stuff in other forums for it. Never taken a headlight Apart, but who cares? Hope it turns out nice

I decided I want to do this about 5 hours ago lol. I'm still researching more. Have no idea what the inside of the headlight looks like. I have a couple superflux 4chip uv LEDs from oznium leftover and I might try to put one in each headlight. Just not sure if they're bright enough. I envision purple demon eyes, lit upper and lower grills, underglow all on one switch. Then my purple parking lights and vertical drls on. And I'm planning to put a 3 way switch on all my interior lights and wire it to my amp output so they flash with my sub. Also have purple on the way for the map and done lights. Next step is to get them in on the flashing too. Considering a fog machine inside. You know, cause why not? Tell me you wouldn't be drawn to that in a crowd.

I recently got a uv light for the dome. That new style kind, (cobb?) with the yellow backing. Supposedly the only true uv worth anything. Well, it aint worth squat. I thought it would be a nice effect to have with the white ones I put in. But no.

So I would try to find a good purple, (my intentions as well), actual uv like Halloween make stuff glow kind, led wise would need your entire roof covered. Which sux. But if you find somethin good, gimme a hollar...

I have the uv parking lights and they did good in the map light. I'm thinking about drilling and adding 2 of the superflux uv LEDs in there too. I have them all over my car at this point. I have 6" under either dash. 6" under either seat facing forward, and 6" faint back. Have 2 8" that will go in the top corner of the c-pillars to light the back (probably Friday afternoon if I wrap my roof tomorrow). I'm waiting on 2 more 8", a 2 foot, and 2 6". The 2 foot will probably be bottom grill. 3 8" will be my upper grill. One 6" will replace the half dead one I screwed up under the driver dash. Still leaves an 8 and a 6 to go.....somewhere? Maybe they will be the start of my engine bay lighting

I would post pics, but uv and iPhone camera don't mix. Everything white glows in my car. I have a couple bottles filled with water and the ink from a highlighter that lights up nice for shows. I've kinda considered "milking".highlighters into the smoke machine mixture. Could be a cool expirament.

I've also thought about plastidipping the console around the shifter, clear coating it, then letting someone good tag it up in neon sharpie so it only shows up in black light

Doing demon eye in the xB headlights is a royal pain and almost impossible because the projector housing cannot be removed seperately from the interior plastic in the headlight. I thought about doing it at one point but once I looked at the inside of the housing decided against it. Halos, additional LEDs in the headlight, painting the chrome, all of that is no problem but getting demon eye in there is **** near impossilbe. That said if you do it post up a how to. :)

Did a super test run. Just put one of my 4chip LEDs In the housing to see the brightness and moved it around a bit. I have 4 total so I might try to do 2 per headlight since they are uv and a bit dim. Worried about them melting though

Thinking about doing it today. If I finish all these other little projects first. About to cut, solder, and mount my upper grille lighting right now

That looks great! What made you want to do that light blue? Or is it just the way the picture looks

It's just the picture. It doesn't pick up the uv very well, blue just shows through most

I've read somewhere that this guy got the projector out from under that silver plastic piece. He managed to get those ball joints out. I don't know how he got that second one out. I managed to get the led's in there without taking it out. Gonna test the one light in a few mins.

That grey sealer is a pain. It's all globby in some areas and just. Ugh.

There's my first test fit back on the car. They glare outside the projector a lot and put 2 spots on the ground in front of the car. Not sure how I feel. I wedged the LEDs in the sides on the lens side of the cutoff. Gave it a good shake to simulate road vibrations. The side of the projector holds them in pretty securely. I didn't have the actual hid on long, so I do not know how it will withstand the heat. I have the other one open and ready for tomorrow. I will mirror where I put these 2 LEDs, so hopefully they at least glare the same. Not bad for a first attempt with little to no information anywhere. I did find a couple people who got the silver piece apart from the back of the housing. There are 2 ball joints and I got one off, but got stuck on the other. I asked one who did a projector retrofit on an hid forum an his answer was "pull on the sum a *****". Didnt feel like muscling them apart as it is my only set of headlights. Maybe when I get more information, I will redo them, or upgrade the projectors.

Those really came out nice. I'm wondering how different the inside of the 2.5 gen headlight is from the 2 gen. I just couldn't find a good place to do this on mine that worked well, or it just might be that I was using standard 5mm Uv LEDs and it needed higher wattage ones. Either way I like how yours look. :)

That could be it. These are bigger with a square lip around them so it grabs well. I'm gonna try to find a set on craigslist when I get some spare cash And mess with them. Have a big meet this weekend so I'm trying to have it all done for that. I will definitely post final product pictures
