can i use a dvd loaded w/ mp3 music in the CD player?

thought that would be cool to have 5gb of songs on one disc

Which CD player are you talking about? I believe only the DVD player / Nav will play DVDs. I have the Premium stereo & it's CD only...

i was going to use it as data storage for 1000's of mp3 songs? will that work?
