could be the heat shield coming loose on the cat? the exhaust rattled on my firebird back in highschool, the honeycomb inside had busted up, so I just hollowed that ish out haha.
Exhaust rattle
What up people? So I have the big *** CXRacing 3'' full catback exhaust on my XB. While I love how loud it is, there seems to be a little bit of knocking going on. I had this installed last summer and it was fine but when it got cold out near winter, it sometimes would rattle. It sounds like its coming from the pipe area in under the back seat area. Now understand this only started to happen when it's cold outside and it mostly happened when I put the car in reverse or sit idle at a stop light. Is there anything I can wrap around the exhaust pipe or the thing its rattling on to make this go away?

Yea I need to get under and look. The heat shield seems too thin for it to be that loud when I hear the knocking inside the cabin. Maybe I can get something rubber and put it on whatever the exhaust is rattling. It's embarrassing when I'm near some hot chicks and they are checking out my sweet XB and then hear KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!
bring it back to the shop that did the install and be like, yo, WTF?
