As the exhaust tip is actually just a cosmetic item, it is here.

Anyways, how does it get removed?
It looks to have several flanges from the 2 side layers and a bolt-looking thing on top (another flange?) with no visible top adjustment. So, how does one remove the tip?

-I have a couple of ideas, but need to know the way it is designed to be removed to see what will and will not work.

tap it off, if I recall the directions from the TRD tip I have here...

I took out a rubber hammer and just tapped the tip off. It looks much smaller now.
Eventually, I plan on getting a Borla dual exhaust.

It just "pulled" off and was held on by friction. It would/will be easy to reinstall.

So it's not welded on? I wanted to replace the stock with that wider one sold by toyota.

Nope, not welded.

I don't own a hammer so I used pliers. I just tapped the back of the stock exhaust tip with the head of the pliers until it came loose then gave it a tug. The upgrade one is easy to install. I found it on eBay for $25.

Perfect. Just ordered the oem exhaust from toyota in ny. As soon as I have all the mods installed I'll post some pics. thanks for the tips.
