Im sure you've heard it and I've read on what fixes it so I decided to tackle it today.

Took a few of these and cut them in half to create about 1/2" high strips.

Wrapped it and it adhered to the bottom of the windshield where the cowl meets and causes the creak.

All back together

And an obligatory cleaned up picture of my xB.

This was stuff I pulled from a sound kit while I was at Toyota but you can find it basically anywhere. Its foam tape more or less. Just keep the top side low because otherwise it'll be visible.

looks nice sam, quik question on the avs vents, do they rattle? oh and do they reduce wind noise and really help when it rains?

It looks a lot like the stuff you can get from a home center.If you go to the area where they sell weather strip,there is several sizes of foam from ~1/4" to 1/2" thick and is ~1" wide with adhesive on one side. This fix might be the best yet. Good job Sam.

Mine don't rattle but I've read some do? Its definitely nicer when I open my window a little at freeway speeds. Looking forward to the summer and seeing how it handles the summer heat.

Update: I went over to the home depot yesterday, and found these. Weather strip by Frost King # R338 H 3/8" wide by 3/16" thick in black or R534 H 3/4" wide by 5/16" thick in black.
I'll get one of them in the spring, when it gets warmer, and let everybody know how it works out.

my current B is the only one of the 3 ive had that ive heard this creak, and only occasionally.

Mine does it too and its highly annoying considering that I used sound dampening inside the entire vehicle (so its very quite). I'm gonna try this over this weekend
