Cave find Corvette!!!

Stumbled on this.

For anyone who doesn't know, the corvettes are made near here and there is a museum dedicated to the brand. However there are also massive cave networks under most of this part of the state and some time last night a crater opened under one of the buildings.

A few cars including the 1,000,000th corvette and others were dragged down into the hole.

I'm personally not a vette person, but being a car fellow this is still interesting enough I though I would share.

It's sad if you ask me. I'm not a Corvette guy either, not in the least, but that was a whole lot of auto history that was damaged/lost. RIP 'vettes....
Eight vintage Corvettes swallowed by 40-foot sinkhole inside National Corvette Museum | The Verge

Here is the link to a news story on it. Probably should have posted this first.

I was talking to a co-worker and I think they should just pull the vettes out and stick them back on display damaged and all. Technically it's still part of corvette history.

The ad was worth a laugh, but it was quite a lot of auto history down the hole. Pardon the pun.

Just in $ value alone considering many of those were showroom new from the factory line it's going to be a big hit for them.
wow this is crazy! I don't personally like corvettes but those poor cars! Lol what luck for that to happen directly in the center of the showroom like that.
On my drive to NYC from TX I actually passed by the muesuem and I didnt even know it existed. I wanted to stop and check it out (not a huge Vette fan, just a fan of muscle in general) but we were on a tight schedule. Its gotta be a nightmare for the owner, those cars will NEVER be up to their expectations ever again. Sometimes it sucks being a purist.
