Anyone know what would be the best way to mount these vent led lights on??
I didn't get the oznium brand, but the k2 motor brand instead... (cheaper!!). Regardless, I don't want to rely on only 3M tape holding these down.. any suggestions??

The 3M tape is extremely strong.

3M tape is used in all sorts of applications on cars. Besides the emblems, if you have a dealer installed spoiler it is held on with 3M tape and a couple of bolts. I'm sure it will work fine, but wait as there may be other opinions yet to be posted.

Also, If you are considering a CAI for your ride some manufacturers use the drivers side vent as the inlet for the CAI. I know TRD does this.

The tape is plenty.
I'll put it this way . . .
If I can find a cheap spoiler w/ a solid or mostly solid surface toward the car, I plan to attach it w/ tape, and only tape (no holes in metal). So far, I've had issues w/ the sellers getting me shots of the vehicle side of the spoiler (most are drop-ship resellers or give no response). I want to make sure there is enough surface area for the tape to hold at well over 100 MPH, and that is for a spoiler/wing hanging off the back of the xB.
The tape will hold the light on just fine.

The 3M tape will hold them on fine! I just attached window vent visors and they are only attached with tape. It's strong stuff! It is pressure sensitive, so when you attach the lights, just make sure you push hard to get the tape to really stick.

Trust me,the 3M tape will hold, just make sure that the areas that are involved are really clean. After washing the dirt off,wipe down with alcohol and let dry.Be carefull placing the lights and not touching the sticky stuff for once they're on they're on! and will be tuff to re-align. I put the outside window covers on 2 years ago and they are still there. That is after last year's snow problems,cleaning it off in bitter cold and during the summer,banging my fingers on the when washing the xB.

I took everyone's word for it. Definitey strong, unfortunately I didn't like the way stuck out of the bumper so I came up with a different way:

Check it out::::

I took out the vent inserts and cut out the light surface:

Giving me the opportunity to mount the light on the back of the clip...
It's connected yet, but here's the general concept of what i'm doing::

I really appreciate everyone's input though.
