So I finished mounting frs seats in my xb2. After adding tein springs, trd shock/struts, hotchkis sways, tanabe strut, 17x8 on meaty continetal dws's I was amazed how good my xb2 handle.
Only thing was my butt was getting thrown all over the seats whenever I sped through turns lol.
I'm about 6'1 160 tall and thin so I wanted a seat where it hugs my frame more, and where I sit a little lower.
So I planned on mounting racing seats, but wanted a stockish feel and airbag sensors.
srs Airbag sensors plugged right in. seat belt sensors do not, so on my dash I have seat belt lights on, but I'm just gonna pull them from the gauges eventually.
I lined up the seats when I took out my xb ones, I wish I took a picture. The mounts to the naked eye look exact. when you measure, the frs seat sliders are a little narrower.
The bottoms of the seats look pretty close, except the xb2 since its a higher car, the seats sits on little legs almost. So these mounts were custom made, same height as xb2 brackets, then were powdercoated black.
So the driving height difference is lower about 1.5". Like I said the mounts are the same height, its just because the frs bottom cushion is smaller and sits lower.
Also added rogue status gun show steering wheel cover. I highly recommend this, its the perfect thickness and feel.
For the rear seat I have an all black leather clazzio on order with extra material for the door inserts.
All my parts I bought from Bean Garage , I couldn't be happier with the service, pricing, and the genuine customer care.
I couldn't be happier with this mod. I feel like I'm driving a whole new car and makes me love my xb2 even more. Best thing was when I pulled out on a back country rode to do some test driving, an frs pull right in front of me, and we played around in the 85-95mph range. I held my own around turing for sure, my xb is tighhhtt. but WOW that frs moves...coming out of a turn that thing smoked my ___.
I plan on starting a build thread when it gets warmer and I can detail my car, I don't want to post how it looks after this crappy NJ winter
