so, i'm buying a new Amp, and it's a 2200 watt amp, i need to know which gauge wire to get, can anyone help me?

You're going to want at least 4 gauge for this amount of power. 0 gauge would be great, but its pretty hard to manage. 4 gauge isnt that bad to deal with, I have it run in mine for 2 1500 watt amps, works great.

If it is true 2200w, you will want to run 2/0 awg wire. Most likely thats the max power rating, if its an off brand amp its probably closer to 800-1000w, or less.

You may also want to upgrade your alternator if your running that much power.
