I would like to modify the lighting on the HVAC controls, the temp controls backlighting seems to be on the fritz as it keeps going out on me, what does it use? SMDs on a board or drop in lights of some kind? and are all the controls the same for their back lighting? from there I will go for the OEM Fogs and some switchbacks for the turns up front, but what size do they take?

Back to the interior, my xB came with the interior lighting kit, is it possible to tap in to that for the colors and say replace the under dash units with higher light outputs and maybe something under the front seats for the rear foot wells?

Also the rear cup holder thing is missing, anyone know the part number is for that? and the plastic bolt covers for the plastic... thing under the front of the rear seats is missing as well, not sure what was going on with this xB but those are the only things that seems to be missing.

This thread tells you all the bulb sizes. Be sure to read the second page to get the HVAC size.

I don't see why you couldn't change out some of the led's and/or tap into the wires to add a few more. I am by no means an electrical engineer though! Be sure to check out TRD Sparks. Not only do they have good prices they also have pdf's of how to install everything. Here are the instructions for the factory interior lights. They may help you in planning your led mods.

What I would do for little parts like that is go to eBay and search for Scion xB parts. Don't pay so much attention to what the part for sale is. Instead look at the pictures. You will see many wrecked xB's that are being parted out. The sellers aren't likely to have little things like those listed, but you can contact them to ask for what you need. Most of the scrap yards will have their phone number so you can just call them directly.

the part you're looking for is called an "instrument panel cup holder sub-assembly", part number 55604-12070-B0. and it retails for.....(you may want to sit before reading any further).....$83.87. Oh! my goodness!

Sorry for the delay, its been a busy week, anyways they are plastic cover plates for the... I guess parcel shelf under the rear seats? here are a couple of pictures.

Oh also what would it take to get the OEM manual? could I order it thru Toyota?
