So a few days ago there were some work crews out paving a road in the rain that I had to travel through and I got a lot of tar on the car. Are there any good products out there to get this cleaned off without destroying the paint?

Meguires scratch X works great for us...we had that issue big time awhile ago

try a soft cloth with gasoline. It thins the tar and it will just wipe off. When your done, wash the area good and wax.

The sooner you can get the tar off the easier it will be. I use Stoner's Tarminator ,which might be a safer choice than gasoline. Just remember not to smoke and use in a well ventilated area.

WD-40 works well ........ !
