Hey, the 'welcome' message suggested I post an introduction, so here we are.
My name is Karl Elvis.
I just bought an '09 xB in 'black sand pearl' about two weeks ago. I got fed up with spending $125 twice a weel to fill up my Nissan Titan, and then hating to drive it 'cause it handled like an elephant and parked like an aircraft carrier (and I just can't stand driving an automatic).
After looking at the original xB with a mixture of confusion and desire for several years, I decided, screw this giant truck, it's time to think small.
The new xB surprised me with with it's roominess, sporty handling and power (I didn't realize they'd swapped out the original 1.5 with a 2.4); and the vaguely hearse-like look in black coupled with the possibilities for customizing sold me.
I've got new black five-spoke motegi wheels and a spoiler on order, and I'm going to put on ghost flames in a month or so as soon as I figure out what color I'm going with. I've also dropped in a pioneer avic-d3 head unit I pulled out of my Titan, which is a hell of an improvement over the stock Scion head unit in terms of sound and ipod control. I'm currently pondering additions like a speed shifter and other minor interior mods, and later on, an new exhaust and intake.
