Anyone install HID's in their 2012? I want to get some and install them. Any suggestions or special instructions I should know? Any recommendations? I keep hearing I need a relay. Is this true? Thanks all.

i havent used a relay on mine. if you want bright lights be sure to get a 55w ballast.

Is there any danger of melting my housing? Where did you get yours?

No relay on mine, most kits are plug & play it's just up to you where you mount/hide the ballast.

Shouldn't need a relay and go with 55w I got 35w from ddm and while bright it does leave something to be desired!!

my current set(s) i got off ebay. they sent me 35 watt ballasts after i made it a point to bid on a 55watt set. i told em about it and they sent me the 55 kit and told me to keep the 35s. put them in the fogs. all for <50

I have the 35 watt 5000k H11 DDM kit and it is junk. No name (literally no labeling or etching anywhere) chinese crap ballasts and some equally crappy bulbs. None of the bulbs were straight. All packaging is ultra cheapo paperboard boxes with no labels. DDM was somewhat decent 2 years ago....now their stuff is just crap. Oh, and their "lifetime" warranty is a bad joke. I've gone through 2 sets of ballasts due to them screeching and not fully igniting the bulbs. Now even though they do the same thing, they won't replace them. STAY AWAY FROM DDM....and for gods sake don't even waste a second of your time looking at Xentec.

i have 35W heald lights and 55W fog lights. Have 0 issues, driving daily with head/fog lights on.
