Finally put mine on this morning.

Painted all four calipers with gold paint to match some of the other accents in the car.







First impression is that the initial brake grab is much better. Past that not a ton of difference. The increase in size is noticeable but not dramatic. We did need to flex the lower edge of the dust shield back a tiny bit. Wasn't touching but it was a little close for comfort.

Good info on brake upgrade. Will have to remember that come time for brake replacement. Might be of benefit on the "Tail of the Dragon". 11 miles, 318 turns.

These are the rotors I'm swapping onto my wife's '14 Camry, and I realized that there does exist a caliper and caliper bracket combination that will make this work for the xB2. It should also just barely fit under 17" wheels. I'll provide an update as soon as I have more info.

Edit: to clarify, the TC2 front brakes are still performing very well, but I'd like something larger, if only for looks, and I'm going to have the rotors on hand anyway since I'll be doing the upgrade for the Camry... so it seems worthwhile to stop and research this.

That should be interesting, I had originally researched the camry front brakes to see if they'd fit. One thing that looked iffy to me was the over thickness of the rotor compared to the stock XB2 rotors. If I recall it was somewhere around 5mm difference, which seemed a bit much, but previously I couldn't find a caliper and bracket so maybe if you have found it, maybe this conversion will actually be feasible. I'd definitely look to this set up versus the TC2 setup, and go through R1 concepts again to buy the rotors and pads, they have really good prices on cross drilled and slotted rotors, that perform pretty well, even in stock form, for my ride.

Fellas this is my first post and having issues finding info on upgrading my gen1 bB here in japan to a 5 stud setup to rid the 4 studs.

She is a 2000 ZX top of the range model with factory sunroof and crazy good sound.

Im also searching for an AWD gen 1 bB which Im looking at either a v6 or v8 1uzfe from a late rwd sedan and replace the factory live axle with a similar 5 link unit from a truck or Van with an LSD.

The v6 appeals as the last models made just over 300hp which is similar territory to the 1uzfe but 80-120lbs lighter so would be a better package for handling while economy would be similar as all v6s are thirsty from toyota.

However would love to go 5 studs with vented discs all round or big ones at the front and upgrade drums at the rear as I dont mind drummed rears much better handbrake control from scratch.

Can anyone suggest the TC2 struts straight up and the rear drums as well or are the rears the same as the tc2 etc?

I know this has been a few years, but I’m getting close to wanting to do this swap. But I really didn’t want to go through swapping the entire caliper if I didn’t have to. Ive noticed all the options from the 63-28 caliper all from the different Toyota’s I’ve looked at the bracket doesn’t fit. If the 2011-2015 ish TC is the only bracket that fits, would the stock XB caliper mount on it? I seem to have a feeling my RS6 the front spindle is different from the standard XB. There only a few places locally that have a 2014 TC in their junkyard, but if I only get the bracket and not the caliper, then I’ll have to go back and get the caliper too. If all and all I have to replace the calipers and the brackets I guess I’ll suck it up and do the whole swap, that will give me a chance to paint the calipers and everything proper anyway I suppose.

I found that 2007 RAV4 front rotors 296mm and caliper mount are a direct bolt on. Tried it on my 2010xb and even the caliper is the same piston size. My xb caliper bolts up perfect. This if from a V6 RAV4. Not a big difference over the 275mm xB rotors, but it's an option.

I finally got around to doing this, was lucky enough to find calipers and brackets for under 75 for both and got the rotors and pads from R1 concepts , took the time to paint the calipers and replace them since I got such a good price on them. Definitely looks better with the slightly bigger rotor running 18 in wheels.

And I used the 2013 Scion TC caliber and bracket, with Scion TC rotors from R1. From what I understand the V6 Rav4 is the only other vehicle that matches the Scion XB and TC bolt pattern for the caliper and bracket, I did my own junkyard diving and tried many others like the 05-07 Camry, the brackets and caliper don't match, certain years of Highlander and Sienna don't match either, though the rotors sizes are the same 296mm the caliper brackets aren't matching, which in turn means the calipers won't fit either.

I'm on a slightly different quest. I want to make the rear and front rotors, calipers, and caliper brackets smaller to accommodate 14" wheels. Any ideas for this?
