Sure hope that it was not the drop down portion of the engine panel that protects the oil filter from road damage....some dealer technicians have been known to cut them off to make it easier to do the oil change...had to have the whole panel replaced (at the dealers cost) due to that dumb move on the part of a service tech. The panels are held on with "push-in-pull-out" devices" much like other trim...if one had been scraped off it could have been replaced without cutting off part of the panel...not sure that it is a big deal, but something I would check on.kidparis said:OK.. so i found out what the noise was while i was driving or hitting a bump. Its seems that the plastic engine thingy has clamps on it and one of them must of gotten scrap off which left a panel dangling and when i hit a bump it made that noise.
