So when I bought my car it supposedly had an inline chip on it. I don't really know much about chips, just that the idea makes sense, since everything is controlled by the ECU on newer cars. Change the tuning, make more go.
Thing is i'm pretty sure what I actually have is just a thingy someone wired to some stuff to say they had one.
My best guess is that it's a Surge in line chip tuner and most of the information I have found confirms that they are just a thingy.
Anyone actually chipped or flashed your ECU for performance or mileage reasons? Any input on the thingy?
I would take it off but it doesn't hurt anything and I really don't want to try and repair the harness.
