Installing mud guards

Just got mine in the mail and was wondering if it is possible to install them without taking off the wheels? The front wheels can be turned to allow more room, there isn't much room with the rear tires. Anyone ever try to install these things?

Thanks

The front wheels you can just turn them to get them out of the way.
rear wheels just take them off i tried to do it with them on but no luck.
to do it right one must be exertive.
You have to take the back wheels off. Even with a right angle drill your not be able to drill the two holes you will need to mount the guards. The scissor jack that came with your car will lift the car just fine. I put a few two by fours under the spring and let the weight off when I did mine.
After having mine for nine months now, I've thought of taking them to a body shop and having them painted the factory white to match the car. I'm just not sure what my local body shop would charge, plus how well they would hold up on the plastic mudguards. Has anyone else had their mudguards painted if so how did they hold up?
What sucks is I just had the new wheels put on, could have done it then. Well thx all for the confirmation about the rear wheels.

Good to know. Im getting my wheels put on on sat. if they have the mudguards there Ill buy them and have them toss them on there so even though you may have forget to put them on while your wheels were off your mistake just helped me :)
Please bring me up to date, Is there molded mud guards from Scion ? I have been under the impression that there was only the ground effects rocker panel kit from Scion.
Sure could use some salt/slop/mud guards to cut down the north east mess.
OK for those of you that don't know the mudguards you have to order on-line scion does not make them they say because the fenders are already flared. i ordered mine last spring and I'm happy with them. they are made to fit. these are not the ones you get at walmart one size fits all.

LOL! Some how it still sucks for me LOL! But yes, I am glad that I can help others out, that is what forums are for! Funny thing is I knew of the possiblity of needing to remove the wheels, but the mud guards took too long to come - no biggie.

I got mine off of ebay I believe, didnt know that scion does not make them. They fit really good and cost around 50-60 bucks. The issue is that there are no holes for the mud guards. Now it makes sense since Scion does not make mud guards for the vehicle. The wheelwell might be flared, but I am still getting crap from the road on to the sides :sneaky:
just installed these last week. You only need a drill for the back ones.
