I'm looking to replace all the interior lights on my 2nd gen XB with blue or red leds.

Please let me know if you know the sizes for any of the above and what brand you might recommend. Thanks a lot.

31mm festoon bulbs were a little too big for the trunk but i just bent the clip a little and madde it fit. I installed the map lights first, then the dome, and then the trunk. While doing the trunk light I somehow popped the dome light fuse(10w) which caused the keyless remote to not work. I replaced the fuse with the spare in the fuse box and noe everything works fine. I got the 6 led 31mm festoon for the dome and the trunk. After the install, i would go bigger. I will eventually upgrade the dome to a 12. The map lights are fine as well as the trunk.

ive tried 2 different kinds of neo wedge type b, none fit right and one blew a fuse. my latest attempt was to rewire a 5mm led to the oem base. that also popped a fuse. i may try a 3mm led. anyone have success here and can provide a link?

FYI, I notice that when I change mine to LED, "Festoon 31mm" in cargo (trunk) in my 2011 xB is a little longer than factory. I would say it is 28mm festoon. I am still searching for 28mm Festoon LED. good luck guys!

It is hard to find the 28mm festoon in the market, the 31mm festoon bulb are common to see, the vendor told me that I can use the 31mm festoon to replace the 28mm one. I was expecting to see whether it can work out. :)

A difference of 3 mm isn't huge. I'm sure they fit, but it will be a little tight.

I swapped out my domes for these from Oznium. They come with many different connectors. Their festoon has a spring between the two ends so it will fit any size.

I brought 28mm festoon for the dome & they didn't fit. So Iv reordered a "scion" one from the states.

In regards the the "truck" I wired a led light strip into the roof, just piggybacked into the factory & it comes on now everytime "trunk" door open. There blue but give a black light effect.

i seen somewhere on a forum its easy to use a bulb cover you just buy whatever color you want and you just slip it on which i think is pretty accurate because when my car was apart the other day the bulb had a little orange cover on it guess making it the amber color only problem is i dont know the size of the bulb therefore cant decide on the right blue bulb cover to order! its frustrating!

i think the prindl bulb is the same as the hvac bulb. a screw in type that has the condom on it. it took me a couple of tries before i found some type b neo wedge bulbs that fit.

the gauges take the plcc leds the other solderable leds are either the plcc's or the 1206's sold by oznium. the side mirrors take the superflux 4 chips. the oznium neo wedges will not work, if i recall i got mine from autoillumination.com which is currently blocked by my work.

LEDs: DIY, Superflux, 12V Prewired LEDs, LED Kits and more
