Is that all I need though? For real I'm clueless when it comes to this stuff.

I'm seeing all these brands on eBay. Some exhaust muffler systems cost low as $119. I just don't know what brands are good or if the cheap eBay ones will eventually fall apart. Anyone ever by one off of eBay?

Auto grimming is a store out in Los Angeles, CA. The thing I'm worried about is just it break on me or whatever. I've never seen exhaust systems that cheap. Usually they are $300-$600, like with the TRD exhaust but I know its expensive just because it's from TRD. I live 45 mins north of downtown Chicago so we do get snow out here. If I do get this, I hope the rock salt on the roads don't eat away at the steel. Idk.... :(

Word up. I guess I can always get that undercarriage water blast feature at my local car wash to take off the rock salt.

I think Parker (from Texas) here on this site said he bought one of the cheap exhausts and ended having trouble with fitment so he re-installed his OEM exhaust and is much happier. I'm not saying the one you are looking at is the same he ordered but you might want to do some research before laying down your $$$.

Good luck!

Yee haw! That's me!

The one I bought was the TRD-style one with the oval 5" tip. It was about $75 on eBay. The bolts lined up perfectly, but the tip was too high and a little crooked. I was looking at it recently in my garage, and the muffling metal mesh-like stuff was all rusty and just coming out in chunks and powder when I tapped the bolt end on the concrete. That's not a problem in my opinion, just makes it louder. Heck, the Borla is just a pipe. But yeah I was ready for stock again - change.

The $120 axle-back you posted looks nice. If you want a cheap exhaust I'd give it a shot. Read this about it: Review:Top Speed Pro-1 Exhaust - Scion xB Performance & Tech Help - Scion xB Forum

Does adding an aftermarket exhaust void the warranty?

I can't see why it would but to be on the safe side just call your local Scion dealer and ask them.

I was hoping you would avoid saying that . When I called them to ask if putting a cold air intake would void the warranty, the dude tried to scare me about putting it in. It seems like they just don't want you to do anything with your car.

They do try to scare you because they want you to use their parts and pay them to install. A CAI shouldn't void the warranty. You aren't modifying the engine, just the air. Several member of our club have headers, CAI's, and after-market exhaust systems and I haven't heard anyone complaining of dealer issues.
