There are many options for the C-pillar cubbies. I made several sets of cover-plates (all bolt-on) for them, but keep going back to the OEM add-on nets:

They aren't very big, but good for holding pack-away tote bags (the kind that fold up into pocket-sized storables) and cargo nets for my roof rack basket(s).
