Hi guys.
I've seen some pictures of XBs with leather seats.
They actually had Scion logo embroidered.
If anybody has them or knows them, please let me know.

1. Are they actual leather seats from Scion? (I didn't see it as an option.)
2. Are they aftermarket seats?
3. Are they aftermarket seat covers?
4. Do they work with the side airbags?

My '08 has factory heated leather seats. They have the side air bags in them, too. Much more comfortable than the cloth ones I sat in. The heat in them will roast your cheeks, too! It didn't seem uncommon when I found the car, but in hindsight, I have never seen another one (in person) with heated leather. I found one online that had two tone black and red leather. Looked sharp!

As of the 2011 model, all second generation xBs have been built w/ cloth seats. That is how they left the Kanto Auto Works' plant in Iwate, Japan.
The Release Series models have had a special cloth w/ dots that reflect the exterior color. The RS 5.0 had yellow, RS 6.0 had red, and RS 7.0 had a purple/blue. Interior shots of the Voodoo Blue RS 8.0 haven't been released yet (as of typing).

Any leather would have been installed by someone after it left Kanto, whether a dealer or owner (or some other entity). Some dealers have a good shop install seat covers (whether glued in or slip-over- our seats don't have the metal framing in the foam for hog-rings, as the seats have the foam molded onto the foam).
If anyone knows of a model (however limited) that did have true factory leather, let me know. So far, I know of one tC special model (a Release Series) model (the charcoal one) that had leather seats. All the other Release Series and other Scion special run models, as far as I know, had cloth seats as built.

I have 2 tone Katskin Leather seats--Charcoal and Grey to match the dash. I also have the driver seat heated and air lumbar back suppot. The dealer in this area wanted $2300 for this and 3-4 days turn around. I went on line to Katskins and found who their local dealer was--turned out to be the same shop the Scion dealer sends its cars to. I went to the shop and ordered the seats the color and way I wanted them--took less than a week for them to be made in CA and shipped to SW FL. Brought the car in to the shop at 8 am and I was out the door by 3 om with my new seats done and for a total of $1450.
Katskins has many seat covers to choose from and a set with xB in the seats is one of the set. I am thrilled with my leather seats. One thing to know is that they remove the original seat covers to do the job and apparently those seat covers are glued on. I didn't think the factory seat was that good so they added a little seat foam to my driver seat when the put the leather on.

My niece's husband has a 2008 super white xb with factory leather seats and door panels.

I guess I can't be entirely certain because I bought my RS 5.0 used (w/12k), but I do have what appears to be factory leather in mine. Simple black seats with gold/yellow stitching. The door panel inserts are also black leather.

I guess it depends on what "factory" is thought to mean. If it means they were installed on the production line, by the Kanto Auto Works (or by Toyota) in Japan, then there aren't any US-model xB2s w/ original leather. I know of none, nor has anyone been able to tell me of any specific runs.
If it is understood as professionally installed by someone BEFORE original purchase, then there likely are some. Regional special-run models may exist (they DID on first gens), or seats redone by a dealer before being sold. That is what if likely being seen.

The RS 5.0 was built w/ black cloth seats w/ a yellow/gold dot pattern in the cloth. Those would have been installed at some later time. They sound like they were VERY well done and would look AWESOME on that model! I'd like to see a pict.

I understand entirely what you mean, unless its on the option/accessory list it's not "factory". That being said mine don't appear to match any of the aftermarket leather seats I've seen so far. Now lets see if I can attach some pics...

BTW, the front seats are heated. So far my RS 5.0 is the only one I've seen with the optional DVD entertainment system as well.

Also as a card carrying member of Clan Donald and Brit car enthusiast (I own a '61 Triumph TR4) I've appreciated your avatar and the plaid touches on your own xB.

COOL! I'm a HUGE British car fan. If you noticed, I slip between American and British terminology on here (sometimes in the same post) . . .

Then you may be interested in my Miata-> it's modded to look like a 60s vintage Lotus race-track refugee. I used elements specifically from the Elan and 25/33 race cars:
I even used the red seats and black/metal interior on the Lotus Racing Green and yellow stripe of the race cars.

(I need to get better pictures of the interior)

I'd love to see picts (note the pun) of the Triumph.

One of the main inspirations for me on my xB has been the Austin A35 and Morris Minor (I even own those DVD-data collections of the vinatge manuals and books).
